Japan's GOODSMILECOMPANY, known for its "Nendoroid" series of over a thousand types of articulated figures, will release articulated figures of the classic robot "Great Mazinger" and "Nendoroid Mazinger Z". The suggested retail price is 6,600 JPY, and they are scheduled for release in March 2023!
Japan's classic 1970s anime, "Mazinger Z" (マジンガーZ), was jointly planned by Japanese manga artist Go Nagai and Toei Animation. It is the first work in the "Mazinger series" and also the first "piloted giant robot" work. The super robot piloted by the protagonist in the series, Mazinger Z, is controlled by assembling the Hover Pilder onto the robot's head. This pioneered the archetype of giant robots in the history of Japanese animation and had a huge and profound impact on subsequent large robot-related works.
The "Nendoroid Mazinger Z" articulated figure stands approximately 10 cm tall, recreating Mazinger Z's classic armor in Nendoroid's chibi proportions!
