To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the classic anime series 《Ronin Warriors》, Japan's Sentinel Co., Ltd. will re-release the first product in its "Super-Elastic Articulation" line, "Ryo of the Wildfire", a posable figure of the protagonist Sanada Ryo, scheduled for May 2023!
The anime series 《Ronin Warriors》 (Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, literally "Armored Samurai Troopers", known in Hong Kong as "Armored Saint Seiya") was produced by the renowned Sunrise animation studio, airing in 1988 and comprising a total of 39 episodes. The anime's most prominent feature is its story of five protagonists, each donning colorful battle armor resembling Japanese samurai, known as "Yoroi Gear" (よろいギア), and possessing distinct abilities and titles, as they battle against the demonic army led by the Demon Emperor Arago.

Incidentally, it can be seen that the protagonist and armor designs in this work are quite similar to 《Saint Seiya》 (セイントセイヤ). In fact, this project was indeed influenced by and born in response to the success of 1986's 《Saint Seiya》. At the time, the theme of humans donning armor to fight was very popular, and 《Ronin Warriors》 later became a classic representative of this genre.
The protagonist, Sanada Ryo, hails from Yamanashi Prefecture and is a descendant of the Sanada ninja clan. He wears the crimson Wildfire Yoroi Gear, symbolizing benevolence, and his catchphrase is: "With a heart of benevolence and justice, I banish evil! Ryo of the Wildfire appears!" His primary weapons are two longswords, the "Wildfire Swords". His special move, "Twin Flame Slash," involves combining the two swords, concentrating flame energy onto them, and then powerfully slashing the enemy with the flame-infused blade. After awakening his Super-Elastic Articulation, it transforms into the Super-Elastic Twin Flame Slash. Possessing a stronger sense of camaraderie than others, he will later gather the strength of his comrades to don the "Armor of the Shining Emperor" (Koukaitei Armor).
