American-style collectible manufacturer Tweeterhead, after releasing several character pieces based on the classic animated series "Masters of the Universe," has now unveiled a 1/5 scale full body statue of one of its classic villains, "Trap Jaw"! Shipping is estimated for Q4 2023.
In the story of "Masters of the Universe," Trap Jaw and Beast Man are both henchmen of the main villain Skeletor. However, when it comes to these two characters, what collectors might remember most isn't their evil deeds, but rather their comical appearances whenever they made mistakes and were scolded by Skeletor, or easily knocked away by He-Man. This time, however, Tweeterhead's reinterpretation of Trap Jaw, under the "Legends" moniker and infused with realistic elements, is quite formidable! In addition to the classic combination of a peach-pink helmet, green head, and blue body, the entire piece features extensive realistic metallic and leather-textured paint applications, significantly enhancing its visual weight and presence.
Accessories include a more rounded, retro-style helmet head sculpt and a new mechanical arm inspired by his classic claw arm, allowing for various display options. The base is designed after the iconic in-show location, "Snake Mountain."
