Japanese toy company Kotobukiya, following their 1/7 scale figure series release of "Minato Aqua", is now set to launch a new figure of the popular hololive production VTUBER, "Nakiri Ayame"! The suggested retail price is 19,800 JPY, and pre-orders are currently open, with an estimated release in March 2023.
hololive's second-generation member, Nakiri Ayame (百鬼あやめ), is designed with the image of a Japanese oni god, illustrated by Nanaka Kagura (artist name > ななかぐら). She is over 1500 years old and speaks using archaic language, referring to herself as "Yo" (余). In her lore, she is a kimono-clad oni god girl belonging to a demon world school, who loves to play pranks and often releases will-o'-the-wisps to tease others.
The "Kotobukiya Nakiri Ayame" 1/7 scale figure stands approximately 24.5 cm tall and is sculpted in a dynamic, energetic pose. Her twin horns, signifying her oni god status, and her flowing, gradient hair are meticulously rendered. The will-o'-the-wisps behind her are brought to life with clear gradient effects, showcasing Ojou's adorable appearance. She wears a traditional-style outfit adorned with spider lily patterns, featuring three-dimensional shading and accented with noble gold. The details of her red and white suzuo knot are also exquisitely crafted! The base is designed with an oni emblem, allowing you to appreciate Nakiri Ayame's charm from every 360-degree angle!
