Limited to 2000 pieces worldwide, it is expected to ship in Q4 2022.
In the setting of the film 'Jurassic Park,' the "Elephant Mosquito in Amber," preserved from ancient times, came about when a mosquito, after feeding on dinosaur blood, became trapped in tree sap. Over time, the sap hardened into amber, and the mosquito within became a precious specimen containing partial dinosaur DNA. After being unearthed tens of thousands of years later, the mosquito in amber became the crucial source for Jurassic Park scientists to extract dinosaur DNA.
This 1:1 scale "Elephant Mosquito in Amber" by ECC stands approximately 9.5 cm tall. The Elephant Mosquito inside the amber is rendered using 3D printing technology. Although miniature in size, it boasts an immense amount of organic detail, promising an incredible experience when held and admired! The base is made of resin, featuring not only the sculpted 'Jurassic Park' movie logo but also depicting on its side the process where the in-story scientists combine dinosaur DNA extracted from the mosquito with frog DNA. Furthermore, the corners of the white base are crafted with a peeling effect, revealing the luminous amber beneath, which is super cool!
