Bandai GASHAPON "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE Impulse Gundam" Digital Prototype Revealed, Expected to Debut Next Spring!

Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy brand, known for its "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" series featuring common connection points and infinite customization for "Mobile Suit Gundam" heavy equipment X ensemble capsule toys, recently unveiled the digital prototype for a new product currently under development: "Impulse Gundam." The product is expected to debut in spring 2023.

The ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam is a cutting-edge machine from the "Second Generation Series," developed under the leadership of P.L.A.N.T. Chairman Gilbert Durandal. Although restricted by the Junius Treaty from using a nuclear engine, its new deuterium beam power supply system can still provide stable energy. Furthermore, it developed a new equipment changing mechanism, the "Silhouette System," inspired by the Strike Gundam's Striker Packs. This system allows equipment to be transported to the battlefield by drones, enabling various forms such as the versatile "Force Silhouette" with high mobility without returning to the mothership, the "Blast Silhouette" equipped with high-firepower heavy cannons, and the "Sword Silhouette" equipped with two anti-ship swords, excelling in close combat.

Currently, the "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE Impulse Gundam" prototype reveals the Force Silhouette pack equipped. It also revealed a Sword Silhouette weapon, the "Anti-Ship Sword," and hinted, "Is the Freedom Gundam ready?" This foreshadows the ability to recreate the classic scene from episode 34, "Nightmare," where the Impulse Gundam pierces the Freedom Gundam. Detailed product information will be released at a later date.
