Studio Ghibli's 2010 animated film "The Secret World of Arrietty" (借りぐらしのアリエッティ) is based on the fantasy novel "The Borrowers." It tells the story of the tiny "Borrowers," who are only as tall as a pencil, living hidden in the human world under the rule of "never being seen by humans," and surviving by "borrowing" various items. When 14-year-old Borrower girl Arrietty embarks on her first borrowing adventure, she is discovered by the human boy Sho! And an unexpected special bond develops...
The "Arrietty's Clothespin" recreates the small clothespin Arrietty used to tie up her hair during her first mission in the film, now presented in human size!
