Released by BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, the 'SHODO SUPER' series, which condenses excellent sculpting, articulation, and paintwork into a palm-sized 10cm figure, today announced its latest product, "Ninja Sentai Kakuranger," scheduled for release in March 2023.
Airing in 1994, "Ninja Sentai Kakuranger" is the 18th installment in Toei's Super Sentai series. The Sentai in the show are the "Kakuranger Ninjas," born during the Sengoku period and specializing in exorcising demons. They once fiercely battled yokai attempting to conquer the human world, successfully sealing away the enemy general Nurarihyon, causing the yokai's power to temporarily wane. However, 400 years later, minor yokai appeared, disguised and integrated into modern society, deceiving humans into breaking the seal. Upon realizing the yokai's revival, Tsuruhime, the 24th leader of the Kakuranger Ninjas, gathered the ninja descendants Sasuke, Saizou, Seikai, and Jiraiya to reform the Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, aiming to seal away the ambitious yokai once again.
"SHODO SUPER Ninja Sentai Kakuranger" recreates the five Kakuranger Ninjas—White, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Black—with approximately 10cm tall articulated figures, featuring intricate sculpting and paintwork. Their flexible articulated joints can be combined with up to 8 pairs of interchangeable hand parts to recreate classic transformation poses, the "Kakuryu Kyodai Juusho no Jutsu" and "Kakuryu Chouninjuu no Jutsu" techniques used when summoning their Sentai robots, and various battle scenes from the show!
The set includes an incredibly rich array of weapon accessories. In addition to the five common weapons—Secret Sword Kakuremaru, Kakure Laser, and Kakure Knuckles—it also features their individual specialized armaments: Red Cross Shuriken, White Fork Sword, Blue Water Gun, Yellow Hook Rope, and Black Crossbow. Furthermore, it includes the Flame Shogun Sword borrowed from Muteki Shogun, Ninja Red's exclusive Raimeiken Koumaru, and the five-colored rugby ball to recreate the "Kakuranger Ball" finishing move, allowing you to play out all sorts of techniques from the show!
