Following Cloud in the 'BRING ARTS' 6-inch action figure series released by Japan's SQUARE ENIX, today marks the announcement of the latest product from the original PlayStation game 《FINAL FANTASY VII》: "Aerith Gainsborough," slated for release in January 2024.
One of the main heroines, Aerith Gainsborough, is a flower girl living on the streets of Midgar. Mature, gentle, and cheerful, she cultivates flowers that shouldn't grow in the abandoned church. Upon her first encounter with Cloud, she felt he resembled her first love, Zack, from five years prior, but the amnesiac Cloud paid it no mind. Aerith is also the last surviving "Ancient," capable of communicating with the Planet and wielding its power, making her a target of strict Shinra surveillance.
The "BRING ARTS Aerith Gainsborough" released this time, similar to the previously announced Cloud, is based on the design drawn by designer Tetsuya Nomura at the time of the PS version's release in 1997. Standing approximately 14 cm tall, this action figure features 25 points of articulation throughout the body, including the neck, limbs, and her distinctive hair. It can be posed in combat stances with the included staff, or display her praying with interchangeable praying expressions and hand parts. Furthermore, to prevent counterfeit products, SQEX will include a digital authenticity certificate with the product.
