Each is priced at 1,320 JPY (tax included) and is scheduled for release in Japan on November 19, 2022.
This inaugural wave of the "Dream TOMICA Studio Ghibli" series transforms classic vehicles from the films into palm-sized die-cast miniature cars, faithfully recreating their charming in-story designs combined with robust die-cast vehicle engineering. The three items are: the "My Neighbor Totoro Catbus" that takes Satsuki and Mei to the hospital to see their mother; the "SAVOIA S.21F Fighter Seaplane" piloted by the protagonist Porco in "Porco Rosso"; and the impressive "Sea Railway" water train from "Spirited Away." These unique designs allow fans to relive the captivating scenes of Ghibli animation through these miniature cars!
●Dream TOMICA Studio Ghibli 01 My Neighbor Totoro Catbus
The Catbus's license plate displays "Mei," recreating its appearance as it rushes through the forest searching for Mei!
●Dream TOMICA Studio Ghibli 02 Porco Rosso SAVOIA S.21F Fighter Seaplane
Details such as Porco's cockpit seat and control stick are faithfully reproduced. Despite being a miniature car, it retains detailed aircraft structural engravings!
●Dream TOMICA Studio Ghibli 03 Spirited Away Sea Railway
The car body features a matte finish, creating a vintage atmosphere reminiscent of an old train. Through the windows, you can even see small figures of Chihiro and No-Face seated inside! Additionally, the rear of the car has a connectable design, allowing collectors to combine two units to form the long train seen in the film!
