Following their previous "Marin Kitagawa" release, Japanese company Aniplex (株式会社アニプレックス) has announced a new "Marin Kitagawa Swimsuit Ver." 1/7 scale PVC painted finished figure, based on the TV anime "My Dress-Up Darling." This figure will be an ANIPLEX+ exclusive, priced at 22,000 JPY, with an estimated release in December 2023.
Created by Japanese manga artist Shinichi Fukuda, the cosplay-themed manga series "My Dress-Up Darling" (その着せ替え人形は恋をする, abbreviated as "Bisque Doll") tells the story of high school student Wakana Gojo, who is obsessed with making Hina dolls and possesses skilled sewing and makeup techniques. By chance, his classmate, the beautiful and popular gyaru Marin Kitagawa, discovers his talent for crafting doll clothes. She then asks him to design cosplay outfits for her to wear to cosplay events, thus beginning their romantic journey.
The ANIPLEX+ "Marin Kitagawa Swimsuit Ver." 1/7 scale PVC painted finished figure stands approximately 19 cm tall, faithfully recreating Marin's swimsuit appearance from the series as she gets her measurements taken! The figure captures Marin's signature gradient long hair, painted nails, earrings, and bracelet – all essential gyaru accessories. Her iconic radiant smile and adorable pose perfectly embody Marin's charm. The daring bikini swimsuit beautifully highlights Marin's alluring physique, from her ample bust and the subtle "squeeze" at her waist to her soft curves, long legs, and detailed toes, all exuding a healthy beauty. The tatami mat and futon on the base are also meticulously reproduced. Additionally, scattered accessories like clothes and her school bag can be freely arranged to your liking.
