The renowned Hong Kong toy brand "ACTION TOYS", known for releasing numerous robot toys, is set to launch in the second quarter of 2023 an action figure of "SA JOGO" and his personal vehicle, the "STARCOPPER", from the protagonist group of the classic early 80s sci-fi anime series "Starzinger" (SF西遊記スタージンガー)!
The series "Starzinger" (SF西遊記スタージンガー) was produced by Toei Animation and began airing on Fuji TV in 1978, with the original concept by Leiji Matsumoto. The story is a futuristic sci-fi adaptation of the famous traditional Chinese folk tale "Journey to the West," incorporating various elements of future science fiction and machinery. At the time, it was broadcast in Taiwan under the name "Adventure Five Heroes" on CTV. It is mostly referred to as "Space Journey to the West".
The story describes how the Great King Star at the center of the galaxy, due to its weakening and unstable energy, causes disorder in the galactic universe, leading to rampant monsters. The only solution is to enlist the help of Princess Aurora (オーロラ姫, translated as "Princess Tianfeng" in Taiwan at the time) from Earth. Thus, the princess and her three cyborg guards embark on a journey to the Great King Star, encountering various dangerous enemies along the way.

SA JOGO (サー・ジョーゴ, translated as "Tianbao" in Taiwan at the time), whose image is based on Sha Wujing from Journey to the West, is a tall and slender cyborg from the Water Star. Although his combat power is not as strong as Kugo's, he is exceptionally good at strategizing and is the most intelligent, calm, and steady of the three. He usually carries a computer that resembles a calculator. His primary weapon is a laser gun similar to a harpoon. His personal vehicle is the "Starcopper," which can not only fly but also submerge in the sea, equipped with a periscope like a submarine, and its main weapon is the Tianbao Missile.
This "Adventure Five Heroes" toy set by ACTION TOYS perfectly recreates the three cyborg guards of Princess Aurora, who resembles Tripitaka from the series, along with their respective vehicles, bringing this outstanding work from yesteryear back to its former glory. Each set includes one action figure and one fixed pose figure, as well as their personal vehicle. The SA JOGO figure boasts good basic articulation, and its accessories include a harpoon laser gun (Telepo-Gun). The Starcopper vehicle features an articulated cockpit seat, faithfully reproducing its appearance from the original work.
