From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company's collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, the highly popular action figure『S.H.Figuarts』series has announced the confirmed commercialization of a new product from the movie "Shin Kamen Rider", "Kamen Rider (Shin Kamen Rider)". Detailed information will be revealed during a live broadcast on October 20th.
Set to premiere in March 2023, the Kamen Rider 50th anniversary commemorative work "Shin Kamen Rider" is a reimagined work by director Hideaki Anno, based on the original "Kamen Rider". Talented new-generation actor Sosuke Ikematsu portrays the new generation Takeshi Hongo, leading audiences to relive the battle of Kamen Rider No. 1 and No. 2 against the evil organization "Shocker", which seeks to conquer the world, all presented in a modern style infused with nostalgic elements. Naturally, the design of the protagonist, Kamen Rider No. 1, has also been suitably refreshed, retaining its original silhouette while being given a more refined and stylish design, and featuring a new setting with an exposed skin-toned neck and hair.
Currently, only an official preview image of "S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider (Shin Kamen Rider)" in its signature pose has been released. It shows the iconic red scarf rendered with transparent red parts, the "Typhoon" transformation belt featuring intricate metallic sculpting and turbine blades, and the striking black trench coat from the new design is meticulously recreated using fabric material with an embedded adjustable metal wire!
