From Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, the "SD Gundam World Heroes" series of model kits today announced the latest product from the Knight World Gaiden "SD Gundam World Heroes: The Legend of the Dragon Knight," the "SDW HEROES Superior Strike Freedom Gundam," scheduled for release in January 2023.
The original form of this character, "Superior Dragon," is a popular character that runs through the "SD Gundam Gaiden" series. As one of the 12 gods of the world, he protects the story's setting, "Saddarc." His design is based on the protagonist mobile suit MSA-0011 S Gundam from "Gundam Sentinel." Since ancient times, he has been on the front lines protecting the world of Saddarc, even sacrificing himself to avert crises, thereby losing most of his power. However, he often appears at the end of stories, assisting the protagonists in saving the world in a new form with regained power, gradually restoring his true form as the "Golden God." In the new SD Gundam World, this role is taken over by Strike Freedom Gundam. We wonder how the story's background will develop?
The "SDW HEROES Superior Strike Freedom Gundam" kit is composed of three molded colors: gold, clear yellow, and clear red parts, meticulously detailing the magnificent golden carvings on its armor. It comes with interchangeable clear red styled hands, and the wings and tail on its back offer a certain degree of articulation through ball joints.
