Brazilian statue manufacturer Iron Studios' "BDS Art Scale" product line recently announced its latest product from "The Lord of the Rings", the "Gandalf" 1/10 scale full-body statue! Expected to ship in Q2 2023.
"Gandalf" is one of the "Maiar" sent by the Valar to Middle-earth to help combat Sauron. Another widely known alias is the Elvish name for him, "Mithrandir". Gandalf is highly knowledgeable, capable of wielding many spells, and also loves to travel, with his presence known almost everywhere across Middle-earth; in the story, he primarily plays the role of a guide and a wise man, encouraging the Hobbits to overcome the temptation of the One Ring and destroy it, uniting the scattered peoples against the darkness, and providing the strongest assistance at critical moments!
Unlike the version that appeared earlier in the Art Scale series, this "Gandalf" sculpted in the BDS series displays the tension of an imminent battle, holding his sword Glamdring and his staff, lowering his center of gravity while looking straight ahead, ready to launch an attack (physical) against any approaching threat! The figure meticulously captures his white hair, beard, and the wrinkles on his wide grey robe, while realistic weathering effects are applied to areas such as the fabric hem, belt, and scabbard. Highly recommended for "The Lord of the Rings" fans!
