Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya recently officially announced the launch of its brand new die-cast action figure series, 'DECOCTION MODELS', which focuses on robot themes. The first product in the series will be the popular unit "Rayleonard 03-AALIYAH Supplice" from FromSoftware's classic robot game "Armored Core 4", slated for release in April 2023.
The "DECOCTION MODELS Rayleonard 03-AALIYAH Supplice" boasts a large size with a total height of approximately 30 cm. It is crafted from a composite of materials including PS, ABS, rubber, and die-cast alloy parts. Under the thorough supervision of the FromSoftware development team, the highly realistic corporate unit design is faithfully reproduced, with rich detailed sculpting on its sleek exterior armor. The parts are painted to recreate the striking black and gold color scheme, while also featuring intricate internal structures and articulation mechanisms. The alloy joints in the shoulders, elbows, hips, and feet provide highly stable poseability, allowing collectors to recreate dynamic combat poses from the game with its extendable articulation.
The unit's head features a built-in LED light module; inserting batteries will illuminate it, replicating the activated state of the head sensor. Numerous armor parts throughout the entire unit are designed with intricate articulation mechanisms. In addition to faithfully reproducing original settings such as the movable chest PA wave device and the deployment of the back Overed Boost, many original model-specific exterior armor, wave device, and storage compartment deployment mechanisms have been added, further enhancing playability and the unit's realism.
This product also includes a wealth of weapon accessories, such as the rifle "051ANNR", shoulder anti-missile weapon "FLARE", back grenade cannon "OGOTO", assault rifle "04-MARVE", and center of gravity correction parts "03-AALIYAH/LBS1". Each weapon features precise articulation mechanisms, such as the deployable and storable states of FLARE, the retractable muzzle and grip of the 04-MARVE which can connect to the wrist, and all magazine parts being detachable. The attention to detail in weapon reproduction is truly exceptional.
