The popular action figure series 『S.H.Figuarts』, released by BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division TAMASHII NATIONS, once again showcased the latest prototype of "Suletta Mercury", the newest product from 《Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury》, at the TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO, the flagship store directly operated by the TAMASHII brand. Release date is yet to be determined.
The protagonist of 《Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury》 is a girl named Suletta Mercury. In her childhood, she lived with her mother on "Mercury", a frontier region with an extremely harsh environment. There, Suletta was the only child, and the AI of the Gundam Aerial became her companion for growth and play. At the age of 16, Suletta was sent by her mother to Asticassia School of Technology, a prestigious academy operated by the Benerit Group, a leading company in the mobile suit industry, which gathers elites from all over the world. She enrolled in the second year of the piloting department. Many novel things she had never seen before excited her, but due to her introverted personality and lack of experience interacting with peers, she was not good at communicating with others.
The latest prototype of "S.H.Figuarts Suletta Mercury" showcased this time shows no significant modifications compared to previously exhibited versions. The facial expression and intricate hairstyle are highly faithful to the anime's design. The white uniform, symbolizing the dueling champion, features articulation divisions that do not compromise its silhouette, and the black background with gold patterns on the collar and cuffs are reproduced with paintwork. The newly revealed part is the "surprised face" expression component, unveiled for the first time, which can recreate the adorable startled pose from the first episode that was humorously photoshopped by viewers into a Yu-Gi-Oh! duelist!
