Japanese figure manufacturer quesQ recently officially announced the latest product from the popular mobile game 《Fate/Grand Order》, the 「Lancer/Artoria [Alter] Third Ascension 1/8 Scale Figure」, scheduled for release in December 2023.
Lancer/Artoria Pendragon [Alter] is a Servant who appeared in the game's Fourth Singularity, 『Death World Fog City London』, an Alter form of Lancer/Artoria. Before her corruption, she was King Arthur who successfully ruled Britain in an IF parallel timeline. She wears silver armor incorporating lion features and no longer wields the 「Sword of Promised Victory」 but instead holds the Holy Lance 「Rhongomyniad」. Consequently, her body is no longer affected by the Holy Sword's side effects, allowing her to grow into a beautiful and valiant figure with ample breasts. After being cursed by the Holy Grail, she appeared in her dark Alter form in Chapter 4, but her personality is not as cold, cruel, or evil as Saber Alter's; instead, she is more human than the relatively divine Lancer/Artoria.
The 「Lancer/Artoria [Alter] Third Ascension 1/8 Scale Figure」 is sculpted by renowned prototype maker Takamaki Busujima. Despite being 1/8 scale, it boasts a large size of approximately 40 cm in height up to the tip of the lance. Based on the illustration of her Third Ascension in the game, it brings to life Artoria's powerful pose riding her beloved steed Llamrei and wielding the massive Holy Lance 「Rhongomyniad」.
The sculpting captures Artoria's cool and highly revealing armor, faithfully reproducing her excellent figure, revealing her ample lower bust. Through rich color application, it expresses the material differences and light and shadow variations of the armor's appearance and the flowing cape, while the Holy Lance in her hand utilizes clear effect parts to recreate its state when unleashing her Noble Phantasm. Her beloved steed 「Llamrei」 is sculpted with an extremely robust physique and dynamically flowing grey-white mane and tail, with intricate detailing on elements such as the frayed edges of the fabric, the metallic engravings on the horse armor, and the veins protruding on its body surface. Smoke effect parts support its front hooves, achieving a powerful rearing pose.
