Japanese model manufacturer WAVE recently announced its latest product from the Japanese sci-fi military maestro Hiroshi Yokoyama's "Maschinen Krieger (Ma.K)": the "S.A.F.S. Mk.III A8/R8" 1/20 scale assembly model! It is scheduled for release in late December 2022.
"Ma.K," the original SF series created by Hiroshi Yokoyama, is set in the 29th century. Earth has been devastated by the Fourth World Nuclear War, practically becoming a dead planet. However, two factions still vie for supremacy over this land: the "Strahl Democratic Republic" and the "Earth Independent Government Mercenary Army." The rich array of toys and models derived from the combat suits and vehicles used by both sides has attracted a vast number of sci-fi military enthusiasts.
This "S.A.F.S. Mk.III A8/R8" is designed as an assault type for the Mercenary Army's S.A.F.S. As the Mercenary Army gradually lost its combat advantage against the Strahl Army's armored fighting suits, they began to develop super combat armor with increased output and heavy armor, leading to the birth of the "S.A.F.S. Mk.III A8/R8." This model boasts a captivating appearance and features a snap-fit assembly that requires no adhesive, allowing for various poses with its movable joints. The cockpit hatch can also open to reveal the pilot, and the distinctive "Explosive Cord" is also included!
