Japan's Fukuoka-based Mobile Suit Gundam themed facility, "GUNDAM SIDE-F," which features the highly popular life-sized ν Gundam statue, recently announced the latest limited-edition product related to "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack": the "RE/100 Jagd Doga (Gyunei Guss Custom) [Special Coating]," scheduled to go on sale starting November 3, 2022.
From "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," the MSN-03 Jagd Doga is a Newtype & Cyber Newtype exclusive Mobile Suit developed by the Neo Zeon Army in the Universal Century 0090s. Based on the Geara Doga, it is equipped with a Psycho-Frame and an engine with 1.6 times the output. Although the unit had several balance issues, its overall performance was still superior to standard units. The Jagd Doga's signature armament consists of three funnels on each shoulder, identical in specification to those of the Sazabi. However, unlike the Sazabi, the Jagd Doga lacks the function to recharge its funnels.
The "RE/100 Jagd Doga (Gyunei Guss Custom) [Special Coating]" is based on the previously released regular version. While the internal frame structure is significantly simplified compared to the MG series, the exterior armor features equivalent precision in its panel lines and details. It also boasts flexible articulated joints, and red parts such as the nozzles and internal thrusters are fully color-separated, allowing for the internal red to be reproduced even in a straight build. The Jagd Doga's iconic armament, the "funnels," also features a deployment mechanism, allowing for scenes of the funnels firing to be recreated with the included 6 movable clear stands.
Unlike the regular version, all of the unit's gold armor parts have undergone an electroplating process to achieve a luxurious and striking matte gold finish. Furthermore, parts in green, red, and dark gray have been produced with metallic injection colors, providing an even more substantial metallic texture. The product also includes a set of dedicated water-slide decals, allowing for the reproduction of the Neo Zeon emblem on the shield and various unit markings, further enhancing the level of detail.
