Bandai Co., Ltd.'s Gashapon division, GASHAPON, which produces the 'HG' series of miniature, exquisitely sculpted gashapon figures, recently announced the upcoming release of its latest product, "Kamen Rider BLACK SUN × Kamen Rider BLACK," scheduled for April 2023.
This product is themed around the classic tokusatsu series《Kamen Rider BLACK》, which aired in 1987, and the new 2022 reinterpretation based on it,《Kamen Rider BLACK SUN》. It features four figures, each approximately 8-9 cm tall: Kamen Rider BLACK and Shadow Moon from《Kamen Rider BLACK》, and Kamen Rider BLACK SUN and Kamen Rider SHADOWMOON from《Kamen Rider BLACK SUN》. New and old riders from across 35 years of time gather here!
Kamen Rider BLACK and Shadow Moon faithfully reproduce the refined bio-mechanical design of their original era. BLACK is sculpted in a battle-ready pose, while Shadow Moon holds his Satan Saber. Rich color applications highlight BLACK's various pattern details and Shadow Moon's silver body. Even intricate details like the fibrous texture of the joints, the belts, and numerous rivets across their bodies are meticulously rendered.
The redesigned Kamen Rider BLACK SUN and Kamen Rider SHADOWMOON from the new series thoroughly embody a highly biological, insect-exoskeleton-like aesthetic, featuring high-density and complex armored contours and muscle fibers.
