Japanese toy manufacturer Gecco, renowned for crafting exquisite statues based on video games, recently announced its latest product from "Silent Hill 2," the "Red Pyramid Thing" 1/6 scale full body statue, to commemorate the confirmed development of KONAMI's "Silent Hill 2" remake! Pre-orders officially commenced today (11/1) on Gecco's official website, with an estimated shipping date of March-May 2023.

The Red Pyramid Thing (also known as Red Pyramid Head) is an enemy monster character that first appeared in "Silent Hill 2," the second installment in the Silent Hill game series, and has also made appearances in other series and the adapted film "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D." Designed by Masahiro Ito, its most distinctive feature is the triangular, cone-shaped metal helmet that completely obscures its face. Wielding a massive great knife and emitting painful groans, it exudes an intense sense of dread! Coupled with its relentless pursuit of players, it is undoubtedly one of the most feared characters in the gaming world.

This piece was fully supervised by Masahiro Ito, with renowned sculptor Shinya Akao handling the overall design. Their aim was to showcase character details that couldn't be fully rendered in the original game, without compromising the "Red Pyramid Thing's" classic image. In this 34 cm tall statue, one can admire realistic details such as decaying skin textures, gruesome scars, a head covered in dried and hardened bloodstains, and tattered clothing. The metallic parts also exhibit outstanding rust effects. The Red Pyramid Thing's pose, holding a spear, is meticulously designed based on the painting "Misty Day, Remains of Judgement" from "Silent Hill 2."

It's also worth noting that this product includes a special booklet illustrated by Masahiro Ito.
