The popular soft vinyl toy series 'MOVIE MONSTER', released by Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced its latest product, the 'Godzilla (Godzilla VS Gigan Rex)', based on the short CG animation 'Godzilla VS Gigan Rex'. It is scheduled for release on November 28, 2022. This product will be exclusively sold at the official Godzilla Store, GODZILLA STORE.
Unveiled at Godzilla FES 2022, the highly anticipated 'Godzilla VS Gigan Rex' is a sequel, or rather a complete version, of the 2019 movie trailer-style short film 'G vs. G' created by Takuya Uenishi and Hikaru Yamane. The film features intense battle scenes between Godzilla and hordes of Gigan, while also incorporating numerous Heisei Godzilla elements into its music and settings. Furthermore, Megumi Odaka, who played the heroine Miki Saegusa in the original films, was invited to provide narration, hinting that the Godzilla appearing in this work is Godzilla Junior, who was resurrected at the end of 'Godzilla vs. Destoroyah' after absorbing a large amount of radiation.
The 'MOVIE MONSTER Godzilla (Godzilla VS Gigan Rex)' is made of PVC soft vinyl, with a height of approximately 16.5cm and a length of approximately 25cm. It faithfully recreates a design that is close to the Heisei Godzilla but with more slender limbs, and features vividly painted eyes and silvery dorsal fins.
