Japanese model manufacturer Good Smile Company recently announced the latest product from the new series "ACT MODE", which combines articulated finished figures with model kit parts: the "ACT MODE Symphogear GX Maria/Kirika/Shirabe Armed Gear Set" from "Symphogear GX", scheduled for release in July 2023.
ACT MODE = ACTION FIGURE + MODEROID "ACT MODE" combines GSC's accumulated expertise in articulated figures and model kits, featuring a pre-painted articulated figure body paired with model kit-spec armaments or accessories, offering both the immediate playability of a finished articulated figure and the enjoyable advantages of a model kit.
The "ACT MODE Symphogear GX Maria/Kirika/Shirabe Armed Gear Set" includes expansion armaments for use with the separately sold "Maria", "Kirika Akatsuki", and "Shirabe Tsukuyomi" figures. These accessories recreate Maria's left arm transforming into a cannon for her "HORIZON CANNON" attack, Shirabe Tsukuyomi launching two large spinning circular saws for her "γ-shiki Manji Guruma" attack, and Kirika Akatsuki's scythe transforming into a three-bladed "Kiri Juliet" form, further enhancing the playability of the three characters.
