Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS' collector toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, is launching the first wave of its popular new Figuarts action figure series, "Figuarts mini," featuring the popular anime "BLUE LOCK." The first release will be: Figuarts mini Yoichi Isagi and Meguru Bachira, with a suggested retail price of 2,970 JPY each, scheduled for release in March 2023.
The Japanese football manga "BLUE LOCK" (ブルーロック), originally written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, centers around the goal of "enabling the Japanese national team to win the FIFA World Cup in 2022." It gathers 300 strikers under the age of 18 to embark on the highly controversial "Blue Lock Project," aiming to train the world's best striker. Although it is a sports manga, it deviates from the typical routes of team spirit, passion, and friendship, instead integrating a self-centered, competitive battle royale system into the sport of football.
The "Figuarts mini Yoichi Isagi and Meguru Bachira" figures feature their uniform designs after entering Blue Lock. The overall design is a cute, approximately 2.5-head-tall chibi style, with a size of about 9cm. They are equipped with articulated joints in the head, hands, shoulders, and feet, and come with interchangeable hand parts, kicking leg parts, and an included dedicated stand to enhance posability.
