Thailand's emerging art collectible studio SPIRAL STUDIO, following their previous Ultimate Masterline series "King Ghidorah Statue", has once again unveiled the deluxe version "King Ghidorah Deluxe Limited Edition Statue", which adds an LED light-up base! The suggested retail price is US$2,999.99, limited to 299 pieces worldwide, and is expected to be released in Q4 2022.
King Ghidorah is the most famous evil monster in Japan's Toho film "Godzilla" series, characterized by three heads, two tails, massive wings on its back, and a body covered in golden scales. Its head design resembles a dragon from Chinese mythology, and it can emit lightning-like gravity beams from its mouths. It is the first cosmic monster in the series, hailed as Godzilla's greatest adversary and the strongest villain in the franchise.
Director Michael Dougherty and production designer Scott Chambliss of "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" gave this colossal three-headed dragon three distinct personalities to create a unique Hollywood version of King Ghidorah, highlighting the monster's distinctive appearance.
The Ultimate Masterline series "King Ghidorah Deluxe Limited Edition Statue" is based on the standard King Ghidorah statue. The main body stands approximately 62 cm tall (excluding the base) from head to toe, with its outstretched wings reaching an impressive 89 cm in height and 135 cm in width, showcasing its regal presence and imposing scale! In addition to the meticulously sculpted scales and lifelike painting, including its piercing eyes, the base also features an LED-lit diorama scene that recreates a moment from the film. The destroyed buildings and rising smoke become even more impactful when the lighting effects are activated!
