Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the "S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou)" series, which sculpts from the skeletal structure to give tokusatsu heroes their original cool appearance and natural articulation, recently announced its latest Ultraman series product, "Ultraman Dyna Flash Type," following Ultraman Tiga (Multi Type), with an anticipated release in April 2023.
"Ultraman Dyna" is a sequel set seven years after the final episode of "Ultraman Tiga." The protagonist, Shin Asuka, was attacked by the cosmic entity "Sphere" during his graduation exam at ZERO training school. In a moment of crisis, a mysterious light enveloped him, and he miraculously survived safely. Later, Asuka joined Super GUTS, and during his first mission at the TPC Mars base, he encountered another crisis. At this moment, a light surged from within him, transforming him into "Ultraman Dyna." Continuing Tiga's design concept, Dyna also possesses the ability to change into three forms: the balanced Flash Type, the Strong Type specialized in power and combat abilities, and the Miracle Type specialized in speed and psychic powers.
The "S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Ultraman Dyna Flash Type" was supervised by Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, and Minoru Narita, who created Dyna's head sculpt back then, was invited to participate in the prototype production. Utilizing 3D scanning technology, the physique of the original suit actor, Mr. Shunsuke Gondo, has been faithfully recreated. The entire body features precise part segmentation and articulation design. The shoulders and chest parts are made of soft material, and Dyna's appearance is faithfully reproduced with rich color painting and clear parts. It can be posed in cool combat stances with the included "Solgent Ray" special effect part.
