"AMAKUNI," the figure brand under the Japanese company Hobby Japan (HobbyJapan Co., Ltd.), is set to release a new work from the hit anime So I'm a Spider, So What?: the "Ariel" 1/7 scale figure! With a reference price of 25,850 JPY, it is scheduled for release between October and November 2023!
Written by Okina Baba and illustrated by Tsukasa Kiryu, with the manga adaptation by Asahiro Kakashi, the Japanese light novel series So I'm a Spider, So What? (Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?) tells the story of high schooler Hiiro Wakaba. After a sudden explosion in her classroom kills everyone present, Wakaba reincarnates in another world as a monster spider. Starting as the weakest monster "I" in the lowest depths of a dungeon surrounded by high-level creatures, she fights for survival, eventually transcending her limits to reach godhood. However, as the story unfolds, it turns out things aren't quite what they seem...
The current Demon Lord, known as the oldest Divine Beast—Ariel—is now brought to life as a 1/7 scale figure! Standing approximately 26.5 cm tall, the sculpt faithfully reproduces her youthful appearance, which looks only about 10 years old, while showcasing the Demon Lord's charisma through a dynamic pose and seductive attire. Her face wears a gentle, girl-like smile—cute yet possessing a calm and collected aura reflected in her makeup. The extensive areas of exposed skin feature soft shadow painting, hiding plump, fleshy details within her slender frame. The outfit utilizes textured gold to give it a luxurious feel, while the unique spider-claw cloak on her back combines heavy matte coating with transparent materials to create a sharp, high-end texture!
