Released by Japanese figure manufacturer FREEing, the 'B-Style' series, which creates exquisite character figures in a large 1/4 scale, has once again announced a new product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY' following Lacus Clyne Bunny Ver.: the 'Meer Campbell Bunny Ver. 1/4 Scale Figure', scheduled for release in late September 2023.
After the previous great war, P.L.A.N.T. diva Lacus Clyne and her father's Clyne Faction defected from ZAFT forces. However, a girl named Meer Campbell, who bore an identical resemblance to Lacus, appeared within the territory. Originally a fan of Lacus, she was scouted by Chairman Gilbert Durandal, underwent plastic surgery, and was trained to be Lacus's double. She sang and danced before the public to win over their hearts. The lively and innocent Meer became a political puppet, and although she became the image of her dreams, she also died in place of the idol she admired.
The 'B-style Meer Campbell Bunny Ver.' boasts a large 1/4 scale, standing approximately 35 cm tall. It features an original bunny suit design that incorporates elements from her in-series attire, such as high-cut leotard, gloves, and a shawl. The sculpt captures Meer's more alluring expression when she impersonates Lacus, compared to the original. The voluptuous sculpting of areas like the bust and thighs, along with the skin tone paintwork, exudes a full, fleshy feel. The fishnet stockings, a signature feature of the series, are made from real fabric, accentuating the beautiful curves of her legs.
However, Meer's price this time is a hefty 44,000 JPY (tax included). This is nearly 1.5 times more expensive than the recently released product from the same series and scale, the 'Lacus Clyne Bunny Ver.', which was priced at 30,800 JPY (tax included). Yet, the overall craftsmanship doesn't appear to be significantly superior, and it even lacks a Haro accessory.
