Japanese toy company Kotobukiya officially announced today (29th) their latest product from "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time": the "Asuka Shikinami Langley ~Last Scene~" 1/6 scale pre-painted PVC figure! It is scheduled for release in May 2023.
This figure stands approximately 17.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating Asuka from the final scenes of "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," where the curse of EVA is broken, and her body instantly transforms from 14 to 28 years old. Her expression, as if still bewildered by the situation, is incredibly vivid, with her head sensor device scattered behind her. Coupled with her red plugsuit, torn by her newly matured physique, it not only conveys the shift in circumstances where she no longer needs to pilot an EVA but also offers a feast for the eyes of Asuka fans! Her fair skin, smooth orange hair, the red plugsuit — full of holes yet exuding an alternative sense of style — and the voluptuous curves of her chest are all exceptionally rendered!
In addition to Asuka herself, the circular base, themed after a beach, is also quite beautiful. The transition between two colors is sculptor "Hajime Shirahige's" interpretation of this scene from "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time." The overall presentation is truly exquisite – a must-buy!
