Bandai's official Japanese online store, PREMIUM BANDAI, is launching a new "GASHAPON ONLINE" capsule toy series based on the popular anime "My Dress-Up Darling." This adorable "My Dress-Up Darling Character Collection" Gashapon features four different designs, priced at 500 yen per turn. Pre-orders are expected to open in December 2022, with an anticipated release in April 2023.
Created by Japanese manga artist Shinichi Fukuda, "My Dress-Up Darling" (Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru), often abbreviated as "Kisekoi," is a manga series centered around cosplay. The story follows high school student Wakana Gojo, who is deeply passionate about crafting Hina dolls and possesses exceptional sewing and makeup skills. By chance, his classmate Marin Kitagawa, a beautiful gyaru who loves cosplay, discovers his talent for making doll outfits. She then asks him to design her cosplay costumes and join her at cosplay events, thus beginning their romantic journey.
The "GASHAPON ONLINE My Dress-Up Darling Character Collection" capsule toys reinterpret the characters in charming two-head-tall chibi styles. Despite their compact 4.5 cm size, the figures boast meticulous detailing in their outfits and expressions. The collection includes four distinct designs: Marin Kitagawa, Wakana Gojo, Marin (Shizuku), and Marin (Black Lobelia), faithfully recreating Marin's various looks and the earnest Wakana! (Each figure has a 25% chance of being drawn.)
