Bandai Spirits' adult-oriented Kamen Rider belt series "COMPLETE SELECTION MODIFICATION" today announced the latest product from "Kamen Rider KABUTO", the "Kabuto Zecter Ver.1.5", scheduled for release in May 2023.
In "Kamen Rider KABUTO", the Zecter is the core mechanism of the "Kamen Rider System" developed by the ZECT organization to combat the alien creatures "Worms". It possesses self-awareness and can act independently. The Kabuto Zecter, used by protagonist Souji Tendou, has the appearance of a rhinoceros beetle. Upon being summoned, it swiftly flies to the scene and combines with the belt, allowing Souji Tendou to transform into Kamen Rider KABUTO, the ultimate weapon against the Worms.
The "CSM Kabuto Zecter Ver.1.5" released this time is an improved version based on the initial 2014 release. Its design similarly adopts the DX version's aesthetics and adds alloy parts. Unlike the 2014 version's weathered paint, this iteration features a clean, brilliant metallic red finish.
Once the Kabuto Zecter is attached to the belt, it reproduces the in-show transformation sequence with rich sound and light effects. All buttons and the movable beetle horn mechanisms are faithfully recreated. It can play various sound effects such as CST OFF for Rider Form, activating the super-speed mode "CLOCK UP", and the finishing move "Rider Kick". Compared to the 2014 version, the sound effects have been replaced with versions that are closer to those in the show.
