Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the 『NXEDGE STYLE』 action figure series, known for its sharp sculpting and unique proportions, today announced the latest product from "Mashin Hero Wataru 2," "Gekko Ryujinmaru," scheduled for release in May 2023.
Gekko Ryujinmaru is a form achieved when Wataru Ikusabe and Ryujinmaru gain the power of the Moon Goddess Ruruna, the sacred deity of the Fourth World, and perform a Super Power Transformation using the magatama she bestowed. Among all forms, only Gekko Ryujinmaru possesses recovery and anti-magic abilities. It features a magnificent golden Moonlight Ring on its back and anti-magic armor that renders magical attacks almost ineffective. Its colossal Moonlight Tōryūken (Ascending Dragon Sword) can sever various magical powers and barriers, while the Moonlight Ring can unleash the "Super Power Moonlight Wave" to restore its own vitality.
The "NXEDGE STYLE Gekko Ryujinmaru" faithfully recreates its elegant appearance from the show, complete with two capes and a teal armor color. Gold, metallic red, and metallic purple are used to highlight the body's intricate lines and the massive Moonlight Ring on its back. The neck and limb joints offer a certain range of articulation, allowing for dynamic posing with its weapon, the "Moonlight Tōryūken," which is even longer than the figure itself. The Moonlight Ring on its back also features an expansion mechanism, enabling the recreation of its "Super Power Moonlight Wave" pose from the series!
