The kaiju-themed soft vinyl figure series "Daikaiju Series," produced by Japan's PLEX Co. and distributed by X-PLUS Co., recently announced the latest product from the movie "Shin Ultraman," the "Transparent Kaiju Neronga," scheduled for release in April 2023. This product will be sold exclusively at X-PLUS's official store "Shonen RIC."
The first opponent Ultraman (Lippia) encountered after arriving on Earth, Transparent Kaiju Neronga, is largely consistent with its previous series iterations, a giant creature capable of turning its entire body transparent and feeding on electricity. Although its massive body is invisible to the naked eye, it is clearly visible under thermal imaging. It possesses electricity-storing organs within its body, and when necessary or provoked, it can unleash a powerful 500,000 KW electric shock from its hard horns and tentacles on its head to attack enemies. This version is based on the design by Toru Narita from the original TV series, reinterpreted by Mahiro Maeda, who also designed the "Shin Godzilla" image, giving it a more biological and terrifying new look.
The "Daikaiju Series Neronga" is produced with a total length of 38 cm and a total height of 17 cm, bringing Neronga's crawling posture with its gaping maw to life. The sculpt faithfully reproduces the rock-like rough skin texture, the terrifyingly small eyes, and the multiple rows of tooth-like electricity-absorbing organs inside its mouth. The model also incorporates an internal LED lighting unit, which, when illuminated, causes the exposed organs within the reticulated skin on its neck to glow red, further recreating its appearance from the film.
