Following the release of popular hyper-realistic "Ikimono Daizukan" shell-less eco-gashapon series from Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division, including "Rhinoceros Beetle" and "Rhinoceros Beetle 02," the fourth installment, "Rhinoceros Beetle 04" gashapon, is set to make its debut! This time, six new types of beetles have been added. Available exclusively on PREMIUM BANDAI "GASHAPON ONLINE," each capsule is priced at a reference of 500 JPY, with an estimated shipping date in late January 2023!
The "GASHAPON Ikimono Daizukan Rhinoceros Beetle 04" gashapon, measuring approximately 7 to 12 cm in length, meticulously recreates rhinoceros beetle specimens through 3D modeling, faithfully reproducing their biological structures and intricate details. Each figure features 14 to 23 points of articulation across its body, allowing for enjoyment of subtle antenna movements, realistic poses such as spreading wings for flight, or raising its head in a threatening manner! The lineup includes six types: the Goliathus quadrimaulatus with a 9.6% chance of selection, the Jansoni's Long-armed Scarab Beetle with a 14.9% chance, the Saw-horned Dynastes Beetle, and with a 20.2% chance each, the Mollenkampi Rhinoceros Beetle, the Yamato Rhinoceros Beetle (Revised), and the Okinawa Rhinoceros Beetle. Characteristic horns on the head, complex mouthparts, serrated legs, and realistic paintwork on the hard, jet-black elytra are all meticulously detailed. Combined with articulated head and abdomen, transparent hindwing parts, and a display stand, a variety of poses can be recreated!
