Hong Kong's renowned collectible figure brand "threezero", which has released numerous articulated figures of characters from the famous American TV series 《The Walking Dead》, following the launch of characters such as Rick, Carol, and Maggie, has once again announced a new character product: the major antagonist from Season 3, "The Governor"! It is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2023.
The Walking Dead, a world-renowned American zombie apocalypse drama series adapted from the comic of the same name, has aired for ten consecutive seasons since its premiere in 2010. The eleventh season began airing on August 22, 2021, and finally concluded last month in November. However, it is anticipated that spin-off series featuring other characters will follow. For instance, major characters such as Rick, Daryl, and Maggie and Negan are all expected to be released sequentially in 2023.
The Governor, whose real name is Philip Blake, is an antagonist who appeared in Season 3. He is the leader of the town of Woodbury. While outwardly appearing gentle and righteous, he is in fact a cold-blooded, cruel, and ruthless dictator. He enjoys collecting and observing severed heads. After his zombified daughter was put down by Michonne and his own right eye was gouged out, he no longer concealed his true nature and sought revenge against Rick. Ultimately, abandoned by his followers, he was killed and left on the prison lawn.
This threezero-produced Governor figure is also in 1/6 scale, standing approximately 32 cm tall. Its sculpt is faithful to the original, with its most prominent feature being the eye patch over his right eye. His expression also matches his cold demeanor, and his entire outfit is dark-toned and somewhat weathered. Accessories include a leather jacket, a rifle, a pistol, a knife, a watch, and a long blade, along with three sets of interchangeable hand parts.
