The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. today announced the latest product in its original plastic model kit series "30 MINUTES MISSIONS," which features quick assembly and easy customization, fully showcasing the appeal of mass-produced machines. The "1/144 EXM-A9sg Spinatio (General Specification)" is expected to be released in March 2023.
Supervised by mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, the EXM-A9sg Spinatio (General Specification) is a special operations mobile suit specialized for close-quarters combat. Its entire body is equipped with crimson armor of the General Specification, distinct from the standard Spinatio. Normally, it can be in "Standby Mode" to conserve energy. In combat, it can switch to "Battle Mode" to fully unleash its performance, destroying enemy mobile suits with high-firepower, high-speed sword attacks enabled by super acceleration. It is equipped with three types of Tachi (long sword) armaments of varying lengths, which can be used for various slashes or throws depending on the situation.
The "30MM 1/144 EXM-A9sg Spinatio (General Specification)" is based on the previously released Spinatio body. It recreates its majestic crimson appearance using newly molded General Specification armor and a large Tachi (long sword) armament. It also includes dedicated water-slide decals to reproduce various body markings. The forehead armor can be swapped to different mounting positions to recreate both Standby and Battle modes.
In addition to the default armaments, the product also includes a luxurious set of customization parts. These include heads with different designs, shields, various additional armor parts, long-handled weapons, firearm weapons, and more, allowing for free customization of the Spinatio (General Specification) to create even more diverse mobile suit forms.
