Japanese prize figure distributor Furyu's high-end figure brand F:NEX recently announced the latest product from the popular game "Uma Musume Pretty Derby," the "Gold Ship - First Place Victory Pose! - 1/7 Scale Figure," slated for release in October 2023.
In "Uma Musume," Gold Ship is one of the Uma Musume attending Tracen Academy. She possesses a tall, model-like physique and lustrous silver-grey long hair. When silent, she appears as a cool and aloof beauty, and her running ability is not to be underestimated when she's serious. However, from the moment she speaks, she often exhibits behavior that is difficult for ordinary people to comprehend. Her highly distinctive personality is not only extremely popular in the game and anime but also serves as a promotional character for the official "Uma Musume" channel. Her prototype comes from the real-life racehorse of the same name, active in the first half of the 2010s. The real Gold Ship was also famous for her unpredictable personality, making her an Uma Musume who truly "recreates the original."
The "Gold Ship - First Place Victory Pose! - 1/7 Scale Figure" is sculpted based on Gold Ship's playful victory pose from the game when she secures first place. Through meticulous sculpting and painting, it captures her adorable stance with both hands raised and her left leg hooked up. Her hair and tail feature a smooth, bundled texture and a beautiful silver-grey sheen. Her vibrant red racing uniform is crafted with exquisite detail, including buttons, brass rings, and a belt pouch, and is adorned with extensive gold paintwork to replicate its luxurious colors. The side of the figure's base is finished with gold paint, echoing her first-place achievement, while the top uses green velvet to simulate a neat turf, evoking the image of a racetrack.
