Nintendo Co., Ltd. of Japan has announced that the latest product in its collectible figure series, 'amiibo,' which can link with console games to obtain special items, the "Pyra/Mythra Double Set" from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, is scheduled for release in 2023.

Pyra and Mythra were originally two personalities of the legendary Blade "Aegis" from the RPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2, who partnered with the protagonist "Rex." After separating into independent entities, both were taken into Rex's "harem" by the young protagonist. Later, on March 5, 2021, they joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC additional fighters. In addition to being able to freely switch between Pyra and Mythra to unleash more fluid moves than in the original game, their designs, created by Masatsugu Saito, also underwent slight changes, with additions like black stockings and other fabric coverings, significantly reducing exposed skin.
The "Pyra/Mythra Double Set" is three-dimensionalized based on their appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, sculpted in dynamic poses wielding their Blades, and faithfully reproduces their voluptuous figures and sci-fi-inspired costume designs. Additionally, rich colors are applied to restore the texture of various fabrics and metallic elements. Similar to previously released amiibo products, the bases of Pyra and Mythra can be placed on the Joy-Con(R) R stick or the central NFC reader of the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to read data.
