Following "Yusuke Urameshi" and "Kurama," GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan has once again announced the latest product from the popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over 1000 different items: the "Nendoroid Hiei" articulated figure, based on "Yu Yu Hakusho." It is priced at 7,500 JPY and is scheduled for release in June 2023.
Hiei (ひえい), a popular character from "Yu Yu Hakusho," is the son of an ice maiden from the Glacier Country. He was abandoned by his clan at birth, deemed a cursed child who would bring disaster. To search for the Ice Tear Stone left by his birth mother, Hina, he had a third eye, the "Jagan" (Evil Eye), implanted. He excels in swordsmanship and the "Jao Ensatsu Ken" (Evil King Flame Kill Fist) fighting style, which manipulates demonic black flames. Due to his overwhelming power, which he cannot fully control, he must bind his right arm and the Jagan with bandages to seal the power of the Evil King Black Dragon.
The "Nendoroid Hiei" articulated figure stands approximately 10 cm tall. It features Hiei in his battle attire from the Dark Tournament, rendered in an adorable Q-version style. His signature black and white spiky hair and inverted triangular eyes are faithfully recreated, and even his muscular chest lines are sculpted to fit the Nendoroid proportions. The bandage on his head can be removed using the "front hair parts" to reveal the Jagan underneath! It comes with a "standard face" with no expression, a confident "smirking face" for combat, and a "disgruntled face." Paired with his "sword," "Jao Ensatsu Kokuryuha effect parts," and a "Black Dragon illustration sheet," you can recreate his classic techniques!
