Japanese toy company KOTOBUKIYA's "ARTFX J" series, featuring My Hero Academia, officially announced its latest product today (19th): the "Dabi" (Dabi) 1/8 scale PVC pre-painted figure! It is scheduled for release in November 2023.
Dabi, a mysterious villain whose true name is unknown, operates under the codename "Dabi." He joined the League of Villains, led by Tomura Shigaraki, around the same time as the dangerous high school girl Himiko Toga. Dabi has a tall, slender build, with his body covered in burn scars and stitched, patched-up skin. He can unleash powerful, dazzling blue flames, "Cremation" (蒼炎), over a wide area for attack, though he cannot sustain them for extended periods. Each of his appearances conveys an impression of effortless confidence; in the later stages of the story, Dabi's true identity also seems to be gradually revealed. Furthermore, Dabi is quite particular about heroes pronouncing his name correctly...
This figure stands approximately 27.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating Dabi's slender physique, his skin covered in numerous stitches, patches, and burn marks, his predominantly black attire, and his characteristic composed demeanor. The flame effect on his left hand, crafted from blue translucent parts, perfectly conveys the power of his "Cremation" Quirk! The tattered yet stylish hem of his coat adds significant tension to Dabi's standing pose, and combined with the shading and wrinkles of his clothing, the metallic paint on the arm components, and more, the overall presentation achieves greater depth, making him both villainous and cool! Additionally, purchases made at the KOTOBUKIYA SHOP will receive a bonus head sculpt featuring a maniacal laughing expression.
