BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced today that the latest product from the 'Figure-rise Standard Amplified' series, which enhances character dynamism through model kit specifications, will be 'ShineGreymon' from 'Digimon Savers', scheduled for release on June 17, 2023.
ShineGreymon is a Vaccine-type, Light Dragon Digimon of the Ultimate level. In 'Digimon Savers', it evolves from the protagonist Marcus Damon's partner Agumon. Although it follows the Agumon > Greymon lineage, its body has been significantly mechanized, allowing it to fight using stored scorching solar energy. It can concentrate light energy in its wings to the extreme to unleash its powerful special move 'Glorious Burst', and sweep enemies with its brilliant wings using 'Shine Blast'. It can also summon the 'GeoGreymon Sword', which gathers Gaia energy, for combat.
Compared to the original design's silhouette, which was composed of numerous curved armor plates, the 'Figure-rise Standard Amplified ShineGreymon' incorporates more sharp angles and layered armor, providing more articulation splits and modern 'cracked armor' elements. With features such as pull-out shoulder joints, deployable wings, a tail with an internal metal wire that can be twisted in multiple directions, rear knee armor with a linkage mechanism, and articulated foot joints, all movable joints throughout the body allow for flexible posing to recreate cool battle stances.
The distinctive weapon, the 'GeoGreymon Sword', not only uses gold molded parts, but the patterns on the blade are also reproduced with PET stickers, enriching the details. Furthermore, it features an original model kit separation gimmick, allowing the GeoGreymon Sword to be disassembled into a dual-sword mode, which can then be stored by hanging on both sides of the thighs.
