Bandai Candy, the Shokugan division of Bandai Co., Ltd. Japan, is releasing the latest product in its "EVA-FRAME" series, which features articulated designs based on "Neon Genesis Evangelion". The new item, "EVA-FRAME-EX: Neon Genesis Evangelion ~ EVA Mass Production Model 3-Unit Set", will be available for pre-order exclusively at Premium Bandai Japan and Evangelion Stores, with a reference price of 7,700 JPY, scheduled for release in May 2023.
The EVA-FRAME series continues the characteristics of the "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME" series, offering exquisite Shokugan figures with articulated frames and separate armor (restraints) parts, standing approximately 11-13 cm tall. Compared to Gundam frames, the EVA bare frame, which resembles the human body in structure, offers even more flexible articulation, with articulated joints in the chest, waist, and limbs, allowing for the recreation of explosive actions such as EVA running and jumping.
The EX special edition "EVA-FRAME-EX: Neon Genesis Evangelion ~ EVA Mass Production Model 3-Unit Set", based on the 1997 film "Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion", includes the EVA Mass Production Model, which requires no pilot, has an unknown core, no eyes, and a terrifying gaping mouth. It comes with large, freely opening and closing wings, a double-bladed sword, a replica Lance of Longinus, as well as various luxurious parts such as a replacement head for flight and interchangeable hand gestures.
