The HOBBY Division of BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. Japan, which offers the most diverse range of 1/144 scale Gunpla, the "HG (High Grade)" series, has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury," the "HG 1/144 Zowort Heavy," with an anticipated release in April 2023.
The Zowort Heavy is a combat-use mobile suit built by Peil Company, one of the three major corporations in the series. Compared to the standard specifications previously seen on campus, the Zowort Heavy is equipped with a vulcan cannon on its head and additional armor in multiple areas such as the shoulders. Its back can mount missile launchers and beam cannons.
The "HG 1/144 Zowort Heavy" is a modified version based on the previously released standard kit. It retains the refined parts composition and flexible articulation design. In addition to changing the molded color to the military green characteristic of the Heavy type, it also uses many new parts to recreate the Heavy type's appearance, including the head, shoulder armor, rifle, and the back-mounted missile launchers and beam cannons. The missile launchers feature an opening gimmick for their firing ports, and the front armor on the thighs can recreate the appearance of drawing out the internal magazines.
