The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co. has announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury," the "HG 1/144 Gundam Schwarzette," scheduled for release in June 2023, as part of the 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, which boasts the most diverse range of mobile suits.
The Gundam Schwarzette, which is set to appear in the series, currently has no detailed mobile suit data released. This new mobile suit, equipped with the GUND-ARM system, differs from most mobile suits in "The Witch from Mercury" that are equipped with beam firearms, as it carries a massive sword-type weapon. Furthermore, many parts of its body design bear similarities to the Darilbalde, with its hand molds being completely reused.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam Schwarzette" features a sophisticated, easy-to-assemble construction and flexible articulation. Its subdued body colors are reproduced with multiple molded part colors. The glowing parts characteristic of GUND-ARM system mobile suits, such as on the head, shoulders, and thighs, are rendered with clear parts. The massive sword-type weapon in its hand also boasts significant volume and detailed sculpting; however, it has not yet been revealed whether it conceals any special mechanisms.
