A brand new design for a classic anime! Japanese toy company KOTOBUKIYA is scheduled to release a model kit in September 2023, featuring the robot "Yatter-Wan" from Tatsunoko's classic anime "Yatterman" (ヤッターマン), redesigned by Kunio Okawara as "Yatter-Wan 2022"!
"Yatterman" (ヤッターマン) is a work released in 1977 by the renowned animation studio "Tatsunoko Production" (タツノコプロ), and is also the second installment in the Time Bokan Series (タイムボカンシリーズ, also known as the "Time Machine Series"). The story recounts a series of confrontations between the righteous heroes "Yatterman" and the villainous "Doronbo Gang" as they vie for the legendary treasure, the "Skull Stone." Due to its classic status, new anime adaptations and live-action films have been subsequently released.
Yatter-Wan (ヤッターワン) is a dog-shaped robot created by the protagonist Gan Takada and others. Although it lacks flight capabilities, it is amphibious, capable of reaching all corners of the Earth. It can fire projectiles from its nose, and its design, inspired by firefighters, also grants it water-spraying abilities.

This Kotobukiya Yatter-Wan model kit is based on Kunio Okawara's special redesign, "Yatter-Wan 2022" (ヤッターワン2022), created to celebrate Tatsunoko's 60th anniversary. Standing approximately 14.4 cm tall, it features a modern fire truck-inspired appearance with red as its primary visual color. It boasts three transformation modes: Normal, High-Speed Mode, and Tank Mode. The parts come in a rich variety of molded colors, eliminating the need for additional painting, allowing for a highly satisfying finish even with a simple straight build.
