Toy manufacturer JOYTOY's critically acclaimed and best-selling Warhammer 40,000 1/18 scale action figure series is set to release a new faction: the “Necrons”! The first wave features four styles based on the 'Szarekhan Dynasty': the Overlord, Deathmark, and Immortals equipped with two different weapon types, now available for pre-order at JOYTOY Dark Source Flagship Store.
The Necrons were originally a race known as the Necrontyr. Due to their home star being ravaged by intense cosmic radiation, their lifespan was extremely short, a fact that even their highly advanced technology could not alter. Consequently, the Necrontyr continuously explored other worlds and established colonies until they were driven back by the mysterious Old Ones. Later, a strange entity that fed on dying stars – the C'tan – offered the Necrontyr the power and immortal life they yearned for. In exchange, the Necrontyr had to ally with the C'tan to defeat the Old Ones.
Ultimately, the Necrontyr successfully achieved immortality and defeated the Old Ones in the War in Heaven. However, this also resulted in their frail flesh being transformed into cold, immortal living metal, while the life energy and souls they abandoned were devoured by the C'tan, turning the Necrontyr into a soulless, free-willed mechanical legion, save for their ruling class.
The Necrons Szarekhan Dynasty released by JOYTOY this time is a brand-new faction making its debut in the Warhammer 40,000 1/18 series. It faithfully recreates the complete Necron aesthetic, including their distinctive mechanical skull design and characteristic green energy glow, while also boasting flexible articulation to brilliantly reproduce various poses. We look forward to seeing more exciting Necron characters and units appear in the future!
