Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's plastic model kit series "MODEROID" is scheduled to release a model kit of the protagonist robot "GoDannar" in its Twin Drive Mode (ツインドライブモード) form, from the 2003 Japanese robot anime "Godannar", in August 2023!
The Japanese robot anime "Godannar" (神魂合体ゴーダンナー!!) first aired in 2003 during the "ANIME Tamashii" block, broadcast in two halves, each with 13 episodes, totaling 26 episodes. The story primarily describes Earth in 2042, where unknown monsters called "Mimetic Beasts" appear. Nations worldwide develop large robots to combat them. Japan's large robot "GoDannar" is piloted by protagonist Go Saruwatari and his lover Mira. However, during a battle with a BOSS-level Mimetic Beast, Mira tragically loses her life. At this time, Go Saruwatari rescues a girl named Anna Aoi. Five years later, as the two are on their way to get married, another Mimetic Beast attack occurs, and the story unfolds from there.
This "GoDannar" Twin Drive Mode released by MODEROID is a physical model kit of the form achieved after Dannar combines with Neo Okusaer. Its most prominent feature is the golden flame effect erupting from its head. Standing approximately 17 cm tall, it features movable joints throughout. The head and chest armor are transparent parts, and it comes with interchangeable hand parts, allowing for realistic posing in various combat stances.
