China-based figure manufacturer Myethos will release an officially licensed "Aki Hayakawa" 1/7 scale figure from the popular anime "Chainsaw Man"! The suggested retail price is 999 RMB, with an estimated release in October 2023, and pre-orders officially opened on January 1st.
Aki Hayakawa, a character with explosive charm in "Chainsaw Man," is driven by a desire to kill the Gun Devil to avenge his family. He is a loyal subordinate (woof woof) to Makima, a Devil Hunter from Tokyo Public Safety Devil Extermination Special Division 4, and Denji's senior. He wears his hair in a topknot, carries a katana, and possesses a calm and collected personality akin to a samurai. Entrusted by Makima with the responsibility of looking after Denji and Power, he reluctantly but competently plays a caretaker role, meticulously handling household chores, earning him the nickname "Aki-mama" from fans.
Myethos's "Aki Hayakawa" 1/7 scale figure, first revealed on their official social media, stands approximately 19.5 cm tall. It sculpts Aki in his signature shirt uniform, depicting a scene where he's smoking an "after-battle" cigarette (?) following a confrontation with zombies. His uniform, face, and hands are splattered with blood, and his feet rest on severed zombie body parts, with Aki's personal katana still embedded in them! What should have been a bloody and violent scene is instead transformed by Aki's expressionless, handsome face, his world-weary eyes, and the perfectly recreated aura of him holding a cigarette in his mouth, exuding an air of calm elegance.
