BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, today officially announced detailed information for its latest product, the ultra-high-end alloy finished model "METAL STRUCTURE 解體匠機", "Sazabi Dedicated Optional Parts Leoulah Laboratory", with pre-orders scheduled to open on January 10, 2023, at Tamashii Web Shop.
"METAL STRUCTURE 解体匠機" thoroughly re-analyzes fictional mobile suits from their appearance, design, performance, equipment, and other settings. Through methods like isometric sketching and detailed mechanical verification, imagination is transformed into reality. It also incorporates accumulated issues and analyses to derive unprecedented structures and design concepts, culminating in a new product that is the crystallization of numerous efforts. Utilizing thousands of parts made from die-cast alloy, ABS, POM, PVC, and etched parts, it expresses the ultimate in craftsmanship. The latest mobile suit created, "MSN-04 Sazabi", features an even more elaborate precision parts separation structure and deployment mechanism than the first release, the RX-93 ν Gundam, capable of presenting a "Grand Disassembly (Full Maintenance Form)" that almost deconstructs the mobile suit.
This time, an expansion parts set, "Sazabi Dedicated Optional Parts Leoulah Laboratory", is once again released for use with the Sazabi main unit. It is primarily divided into two parts: expanded armaments that enhance the mobile suit's completeness, and maintenance equipment and character figures that enrich the overall scene. The expanded armaments include three types of equipment: the Prototype Long-Range Beam Rifle, Prototype Long Barrel, and Prototype Funnel Rack. In line with the METAL STRUCTURE style, these are given precise structures composed of numerous parts, along with deployment or transformation mechanisms.
■ Prototype Long-Range Beam Rifle
This armament is a prototype of the "Long-Range Beam Rifle" that appeared in previous Sazabi models. It features different structures such as the stock, scope, trigger, and deployable barrel. The entire rifle can be disassembled into three parts – stock, body, and barrel – and displayed using a dedicated stand. The scope can also be removed, allowing only the body to be used as a standard-range beam rifle.
■ Prototype Long Barrel
This barrel is set to be developed by Anaheim Electronics, utilizing the same technology as the "Hyper Mega Beam Rifle" used by the ν Gundam HWS. It can be attached to the front of Sazabi's beam shotgun to form a large beam rifle.
■ Prototype Funnel Rack
This prototype funnel rack was equipped on the Sazabi before its official rollout, and it is larger than the officially adopted version. Once the base expands on both sides, the funnel locking mechanism is released. Additionally, the base features a slanted design at the bottom to allow the funnels to be launched forward.
The maintenance equipment, designed to enhance the overall scene, includes 6 energy tubes that can connect to Sazabi's waist to recreate energy replenishment scenes. A dedicated maintenance stand for Sazabi's spherical cockpit is also added to depict the scene of adjusting precision instruments before sortie. Furthermore, a set of maintenance searchlights, a Char figure, a Quess figure, and three maintenance crew figures are included to enrich the hangar maintenance scene.
